S M Sundara Raju is currently Professor and Adviser, SQC and OR Division, Indian Statistical Institute, Madras. He is a UNIDO Expert in Quality Technology and management and has been actively involved with implementation and promotion of total quality management through his various international and national assignments.
Prof. Sundara Raju was awarded the 1984 `Best Quality Man of the Year? by the National Institution of Quality Assurance for his significant contributions in quality control. A fellow of the IBA, Cambridge, UK he is referenced in the International Who?s Who of Contemporary Achievement 1984-85.
Prof. Sundara Rau has attended several seminars and worked with leading quality exponents including Dr Joseph M Juran, Dr W E Deming, Dr W A Shewhart, Dr Ellis R Ott and Dr Genichi Taguchi.
