A wide range of colourful and attractive paraphernalia can be embedded in these gel candles, especially because the pots are transparent. Dried flowers, coloured sand, glitter, shells, marbles or beads can be imaginatively used to make these candles look very pretty.

The components provided in the kit enable you to make 3 fascinating miniature candles with an aquamarine look.

Embedded pots

First one needs to fill the base of the glass tumblers before using the gel wax. The top end of the wick can be tied lightly to a pencil and the pencil can be rested horizontally on the rim of the glass. This is to ensure that the wick is in the centre and the top end does not get submerged in the gel wax. Select a particular colour of sand and pour it into each tumbler up to heights varying between 2-4 mm. Cover this coloured sand with another layer of coloured sand. If more sand is still left add it to make a third layer. Check the box cover for leads. Add a small portion of the glitter powder to each glass tumbler. Follow this by inserting shells – all the 3 assortments can be arranged artistically in the three tumblers.

Now pour the molten wax into all the tumblers taking care to ensure that the layers of sand and shells are not disturbed. In the molten state you can add more glitter. Allow the gel wax to set and cool . Open the knot of the wick tied to the pencil and cut it to an appropriate height. The glass candles are ready.
