Product Description
The Goosebumps Horrorland is a series within the Goosebump series of horror stories for kids. Horrorland is a horror-themed amusement park. Kids like to visit it to give themselves a few scares, which they know are not real. It is just for fun and once they are out of the the park, their moments of fright are just memories. However, that is not always true, for the horrors of Horrorland have a habit of following those who visit Chiller’s Horrorland Shop, and buy something from it. He usually sends the kids off with a gift. But the gifts are not always nice. In The Wizard Of Ooze (Goosebumps Horrorland), Marco Gonzales and his friend Gabriella Smith visit Horrorland. After a nice time at the theme park, Marco visits Chiller’s shop. He is delighted to find a rare copy of a Wizard of Ooze comic, Chiller gives him the comic book as a gift. Marco gets home and finds that the back of the comic book contains a set of tests, to determine the reader’s superhuman powers. Marco tries them out, but fails them all. Marco’s brother Zeke then steals the book and goes to the big comic book convention. Things take a strange turn however. There are reports of a huge monster dressed as the Ooze. If it is just a person in a costume, people are left wondering why he leaves an oily trail wherever he goes. The Ooze seems to be following Macro. This Scholastic Inc. reprint edition came out in 2010, in paperback. Key Features: The Wizard Of Ooze (Goosebumps Horrorland) is the seventeenth in the Goosebumps Horrorland series, and it is the fifth book in the Chiller House storyline within that series. The title of this book is a play on the famous children's book, The Wizard Of Oz.
