Anjan Chatterjee was born in 1959 in a family of scholars in Kolkata. He went on to complete his graduation from Calcutta University and studied at the Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Kolkata in 1982. Hospitality was a childhood passion and the institute gave him the formal training he required to follow his dream.
He is the Founder and Managing Director of Speciality Restaurants Limited which has the largest chain of fine dining restaurants in India. Restaurants include Mainland China, Oh! Calcutta, Sigree Global Grill, Flame & Grill, Haka, Sweet Bengal, and many more.
