About Author
Barry R. Clarke has written over 1500 mathematics and logic puzzles for The Daily Telegraph, and also writes for Prospect magazine (UK). His puzzles have also appeared in New Scientist, The Sunday Times, The Sunday Telegraph, and Readers Digest. He has academic publications in quantum mechanics, and an academic book The Quantum Puzzle (World Scientific Publishing, 2017) that sets out his theory of the mass vortex ring, a new visualizable physics without quantum mechanics. In 2013, he was awarded a PhD for his thesis 'Francis Bacon's contribution to three Shakespeare plays'. The development of this work 'Francis Bacon's Contribution to Shakespeare: A New Attribution Method', with a Foreword by Sir Mark Rylance, and endorsed by Professor Steven Pinker, was published in 2019 for the Routledge Studies in Shakespeare series. His previous puzzle books include Supergenius Logic Puzzles (Puzzlewright Press, 2019), Extreme Logic Puzzles (Puzzlewright Press, 2015), Mathematical Puzzles and Curiosities (Dover, 2013), and Brain Busters (Dover, 2003). His Challenging Logic Puzzles Mensa is an amazon bestseller having sold over 100,000 copies. Several forward thinking schools have used it to develop the minds of their students. Unlike many other logic puzzle books on the market that recycle old puzzles, Dr Clarke's books present original ideas.
