Krishna, the dark one, being an incarnation of Lord Vishnu, is divine on one hand and endearingly human on the other. He is at once the beloved child, the stealer of hearts, the loyal friend, the simple cowherd, the great philosopher and the valiant hero. Krishna slips into each of these roles with great ease.
