Bruno attracts adventure, like iron to a magnet, a moth to a flame... And as if that isn’t enough drama, he creates some more, with his irrepressible insouciance, larger than life persona and insatiable thirst for adventure. So when he is adopted by The Family as a baby, the stage is set for miracles, magic and mischief. His loyal confederates are his human siblings Ani and Bink who love him almost as much as he loves himself.
Pampered and pandered to by all and sundry thanks to his winning ways, Bruno crosses all acceptable boundaries by smuggling himself into a suitcase and inviting himself as an unexpected guest to great-granmama’s farm, causing papa to blow his fuse. The fallout of this episode is Max, who is adopted as much for himself as to teach Bruno some sharing and caring. After much grappling with jealousy and sibling rivalry, Bruno grudgingly accepts Max, but only as his sidekick. Max of course worships the ground ‘uncle’ Bruno walks on and is a sitting duck for the latter’s machinations. The entire family is drawn into the high adrenaline excitement of the many adventures that just seem to dog his footsteps, as Bruno, with or without Max’s assistance, walks the tightrope of living life on the razor’s edge; conning an escaped lion into recapture, on occasion impersonating a celebrity to savour a curated meal and even acquiring the high moniker of ‘music connoisseur’.
