About Author
As a child my exposure to Enid Blyton books was restricted to The Famous Five series and their world of adventures.
Now when I thought of gifting my daughter Enid Blytons book, I came across her world of mystery series, adventure series and secret Series.
I decided to get myself acquainted with this unexplored domain and The Secret Island was the first of the book of the Secret Series.
Unlike her other series this book offers no excitement except for demonstrating the childrens survival skills. The children are shown to be extremely smart with Jack even managing to get his cow from the village to the island tied to the boat and the children enjoying her skimmed milk everyday.
The excitement is restricted to the last couple of chapters.
Overall the book can be avoided if you are the adventorous type and want your child to travel into the adventorous world.
