Product Description

A fun-packed book which is a joyous celebration of a happy family life.An irresistibly silly and charming story about fun and family, with tongue-twisting text from award-winning writer, Thomas Taylor, and lovingly-rendered illustrations from the critically-acclaimed, Penny Dann.

From Mum‰۪s swirly-whirly tummy-button tickles to Dad‰۪s great-big side-grabbers . . . there‰۪s no escaping tickles in this house!

From award-winning writer Thomas Taylor and critically-acclaimed illustrator Penny Dann comes an irresistibly warm and playful story all about fun and family ‰ÛÒ Too Many Tickles! Chase about the house with two little children as they dodge, dash, wriggle and giggle with their tickling parents and grandparents! But when all the silliness becomes a bit too much, will the kids get their carers back with a few tickles of their own?

With lovingly-drawn illustrations and tongue-twisting text, this book is perfect for storytime with lively little ones.

Thomas Taylor doodled his way through childhood until they let him into Norwich School of Art and Design and then to study illustration at Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge. His first commissioned work was the cover illustration for a then unknown book called Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone by J.K. Rowling. Since then Thomas has written and illustrated many children's picture books, as well as the critically-acclaimed Legends of Eerie-on-Sea series for older children. Thomas lives on the south coast of England, where he spends his time drawing and sharing stories with his children. Too Many Tickles is his first title with Macmillan Children's Books.

Penny Dann loved to draw so much when she was was little that she kept doing it at college and then Brighton University. Soon after, Penny started illustrating children's books, and she never looked back. Penny has numerous books to her name, from anthologies and poetry collections to early readers and fairytales. She is probably best known for her very popular The Secret Fairy series by Orchard, a lovingly-crafted primer for any girl who dreams of one day becoming a fairy, which has sold over 2 million copies worldwide.
Penny sadly passed away in December 2014, though her books continue to be read and loved by children everywhere.
