Leena Mogre is India's first woman personal fitness trainer, Madhuri Dixit being her first client followed by John Abraham, Bipasha Basu, Sameera Reddy, Katrina Kaif and Isha Koppikar, among others. Leena was the first Indian CEO of an international gym chain and was responsible for setting up and expanding this chain in India. She runs her own signature brand of fitness centres-Leena Mogre's Fitness-in Bandra, Shivaji Park and Thane in Mumbai, and Chandigarh. She was also associated with shows like Nach Baliye and Bigg Boss. Leena Mogre's Fitness is also the official trainer for Gladrags (Megamodels, Manhunt and Mrs India) and Elite Models.
Leena has a master's in food science and nutrition, specializing in sports medicine and injuries. She taught food science and nutrition at SNDT University, Mumbai, for a year. She is a pioneer of fitness education, and has trained more than 18,000 students till date. She has won the Indian Merchant Chamber (Women's Chapter) Business Woman of the Year award, the Mumbai Mayor's Award, 2008, and WAVES Woman of the Year-Fitness award. She is currently pursuing her PhD in nutrition. She lives in Mumbai with her family. This is her debut book.
