The Write Place

The Write Place (TWP) is a publishing arm of Crossword Bookstores Pvt Ltd., India’s largest chain of bookstores.

The Write Place is an author-paid (self-published) publishing initiative started by Crossword Bookstores Pvt Ltd, to enable new authors to get their books published as well as distributed and marketed in the CROSSWORD physical stores as well as online platforms.

We have advanced experienced team of editors & designers, also high-quality printers, which helps to enhance your work in book form.

With a backlist of over 350 published titles, our titles range from children’s books (nature, Reference), in fiction - Mystery, thrillers, fantasy, romance, mythological fiction and short stories, anthologies to riveting non-fiction in the form of biographies, poems, travelogue, self-help and business & management titles, among others.

What makes The Write Place stand out from other publishing companies in India is the fact that the books published by us are present in all Crossword Bookstores across the country – 85 plus stores in 30 plus Cities, 1.50 lakh total prime retail space, something that other publishing companies cannot offer. Additionally, each bookstore has a dedicated shelf where books published by The Write Place are displayed.

For Authors, it is a dream to see his/her book on the shelves of crossword bookstore. It’s their space where they can promote their work in their way by doing events, book-reading sessions, author-signing session and many more…

Crossword Bookstore has a plan to reach 300 stores by 2025, with these the authors published under the write place will have more space and exposure to their target audience.
