We Used to Live Here is a creepy psychological horror novel that keeps you guessing from beginning to end. The story follows a couple who move into a new house, only to have a family show up claiming they used to live there. What starts as a simple visit slowly turns into something strange and unsettling.

I really enjoyed how the author builds suspense without relying on jump scares. The atmosphere is eerie, and the mystery kept me wanting to know what would happen next. Although the story starts a little slowly and leaves some questions unanswered, the ending is memorable and makes you think.

Outstanding in every respect. We Used to Live Here shows Kliewer Marcus at their very best — clear thinking, elegant writing, ideas that linger. I don't give five stars lightly but this absolutely earned them.

Genuinely one of the best books I've read this year. Kliewer Marcus writes with clarity and intelligence and the ideas in We Used to Live Here are both original and immediately relevant. I came away from it thinking differently about something I thought I understood. That doesn't happen often. Highly recommended.
