Product Description

Calling Sehmat sweeps you into a tense, true-to-life world of espionage set against the 1971 conflict between India and Pakistan. A historical fiction thriller told through the eyes of Sehmat, a Kashmiri college student who becomes an undercover operative, it blends personal sacrifice with national duty. Perfect for adults and older teens who love high-stakes spy drama, Calling Sehmat offers a pulse-quickening, emotionally resonant reading experience that highlights courage in the face of danger.

Written in tight, cinematic prose, Calling Sehmat follows Sehmat’s double life as she navigates a treacherous landscape—not only the shadows of international intrigue but the ordinary pull of family, love, and the longing for a normal life. The book unfolds with clear, accessible pacing, balancing suspense with intimate, character-driven moments that reveal the cost of loyalty and the price of truth. Inspired by real events and the film Raazi, the narrative feels both authentic and deeply human, inviting readers into a world where trust is scarce and every decision matters.

Through Sehmat’s perspective, the story explores themes of identity, duty, and sacrifice. The experience is immersive—reader-friendly chapters, vivid settings, and a sense of immediacy that makes the espionage feel personal rather than distant. Whether you’re drawn to historical intrigue or character-centered thrillers, Calling Sehmat delivers a memorable journey with heart and grit.
