Genuinely one of the best books I've read this year. Roald Dahl writes with clarity and intelligence and the ideas in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory are both original and immediately relevant. I came away from it thinking differently about something I thought I understood. That doesn't happen often. Highly recommended.
Few books manage to be both intellectually stimulating and genuinely enjoyable to read. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is one of them. Roald Dahl's command of the subject is evident throughout and the presentation is superb. Highly, highly recommended.
This is exactly what a good book should do — entertain you, challenge you, and leave you feeling like the time was genuinely well spent. Roald Dahl delivers on all three counts. I've already recommended it to everyone in my office. A wonderful purchase.
I placed my order in the evening and the book was at my door by the following afternoon — genuinely impressed by how fast Crossword's delivery was. The packaging was protective and thoughtful, no bent corners, no damage at all. The book itself was every bit as good as I'd hoped. If you've been hesitant about ordering books online, the Crossword delivery experience will put your mind at rest completely.
Outstanding in every respect. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory shows Roald Dahl at their very best — clear thinking, elegant writing, ideas that linger. I don't give five stars lightly but this absolutely earned them.
