Murder, mystery, madness – Shakespeare’s Hamlet takes all three and weaves them into a finely told tale of the Prince of Denmark and the political intrigues that surround him. Upon the death of his father, the king, Prince Hamlet returns home to mourn the loss. When he discovers that his newly widowed mother is now married to his Uncle Claudius, Hamlet is left ill at ease. The appearance of a ghostly figure confirms Hamlet’s suspicions about his father’s death, urging him to seek vengeance. Along the way, Hamlet contemplates the very nature of life and death, as he attempts to outsmart his enemy in a cat-and-mouse game of epic proportions.
