Genuinely one of the best books I've read this year. Sehee Baek writes with clarity and intelligence and the ideas in I Want to Die but I Want to Eat Tteokbokki are both original and immediately relevant. I came away from it thinking differently about something I thought I understood. That doesn't happen often. Highly recommended.
Ordered this expecting standard delivery timelines and was pleasantly surprised when it arrived the very next day. Packaging was solid and the book was in mint condition. It's a small thing but getting a book you're excited about faster than expected is a real joy. The book itself was brilliant too. Five stars for both the delivery and the read.
Outstanding in every respect. I Want to Die but I Want to Eat Tteokbokki shows Sehee Baek at their very best โ clear thinking, elegant writing, ideas that linger. I don't give five stars lightly but this absolutely earned them.
I felt this book on a spiritual level. I felt offended and acknowledged at the same time. It was a much needed purchase
This is exactly what a good book should do โ entertain you, challenge you, and leave you feeling like the time was genuinely well spent. Sehee Baek delivers on all three counts. I've already recommended it to everyone in my office. A wonderful purchase.
