Product Description

Dr Jaya Prasada was born on 13 August 1948 in Lucknow. She graduated from Loreto College, and earned her master's degree from the University of Lucknow. In 1981, she did her PhD on Prime Minister Indira Gandhi from the University of Rohilkhand.
Prasada lived for thirty-seven years in the closest proximity to the divine mother Sri Siddhi Ma, who inherited the spiritual legacy of Neem Karoli Baba. Her debut book is dedicated to her guru Sri Siddhi Ma and takes us into the life and times of the silent saint of Kainchi.
Prasada lives between Kainchi Dham and her home 'Teertham' in Nainital, where Sri Siddhi Ma took mahasamadhi in December 2017. She is an ardent photographer, a keen mountain traveller and likes to keep up with technology.

Revered the world over, Baba Neem Karoli Maharaj, known as Maharaj ji, emphasized 'manav seva hi madhav seva hai.' 'Service to humanity is service to god.' His simple boundless love and compassion drew deep devotion from the east and the west.
The beacon of light taking forward Maharaj ji's spiritual legacy was his chosen disciple Sri Siddhi Ma, the silent saint of Kainchi. Living by the highest precepts of renunciation and devotion to the guru, Ma remained the eternal disciple to the eternal guru, Maharaj ji.
This perceptive account by Jaya Prasada reflects her journey with Sri Siddhi Ma. Prasada, though not a strong believer in her early days, was eventually blessed with a life with Sri Siddhi Ma, and imbibed through Ma the divine essence of Maharaj ji.
Filled with anecdotes of her time with Ma and Maharaj, and accounts of the godly and supernatural events Prasada saw with her own eyes in the company of such strong, spiritually charged figures, she recounts their journey as well as her own with such sensitivity, conviction, wit and charm that it is enough to turn any non-believer into a believer.

This book is like a benediction-an extraordinary account of the journey of faith and devotion that led Jaya Prasada to Sri Siddhi Ma, the silent saint of KainchiThe relationship between Guru and Shishya-teacher and student-is mysterious, intimate and imbued with love. Jaya's book is a "not to be missed gift", sharing her unique experience in this beautifully written tribute to Siddhi Ma, who combined the transcendent legacy of Neem Karoli Baba with the purity of her devotion.Shri Siddhi Ma was a great saint of our time. And like Hanuman to Lord Rama, Jaya Prasada dedicated her entire life to serving Ma. Having seen Siddhi Ma for decades from close quarters, there is no better person than Jaya to tell the remarkable story of Ma's divine life, traversed under the grace of her guru, Maharaj jiOnly Jaya's profound love and heart connection with Ma would have allowed her to share these memories with so much depth and sweetness . . . to read them is to receive Mother's grace
