There are books you enjoy and then there are books that actually stay with you. The Magic of the Lost Story is the second kind. The characters feel real, the pacing never lets up, and the emotional depth surprised me in the best way. I finished it in two sittings and immediately wanted to start again. Absolutely brilliant.
I had been eyeing this one for a while and finally picked it up — honestly, it was worth every bit of the wait. The world-building is extraordinary. From the very first chapter I was completely transported, and by the end I had lost track of time entirely. Sudha Murty has created something genuinely magical here. If you love fantasy, just get it.
This is the kind of story that reminds you why you fell in love with reading in the first place. Sudha Murty's writing is vivid and effortless — the world feels completely lived-in, the stakes feel real, and every chapter ends with you desperately needing to know what happens next. A genuine five-star experience.
What strikes me most about The Magic of the Lost Story is how it balances the big epic elements with the small human moments. Sudha Murty never loses sight of the characters even when the plot is moving at full speed. The result is a book that is both thrilling and emotionally satisfying. One of my favourite reads in recent memory.
This book is just super good, the adventure, the knowledge and how it just connects us to our culture , nature!! Sudha Murthy's writing is also amazing and the message given about being curious and loving our nature, respecting our culture and being just like nooni ( main character ) leaves a lasting impression
